A new article by Anna Ostrovskyj has just been published on WhiskyClub.it, diving into the world of Distilia’s latest masterpiece: The Sins Chapter 6 – Sloth.
There are moments in the world of fine spirits when time itself seems to slow down – not out of laziness, but out of reverence. Sloth, the sixth chapter in Distilia’s acclaimed The Sins series, captures that rare stillness – where patience becomes a virtue, and mastery takes its time.
Born from a journey to the serene island of Marie Galante, Sloth is a creation of both nature and contemplation. Selected by Robert Bauer in collaboration with Distilia’s founders, Piotr Kossowski and Jakub Bagiński, this agricole rhum was distilled in 2012 by Michele Lunardon in RRL’s traditional Müller copper stills, and matured for 13 long years in an ex-bourbon cask under the tropical sun.
The result? A masterpiece of quiet intensity – a rhum that invites reflection rather than haste. With notes of candied orange peel, cocoa, rose petal, and the unmistakable freshness of eucalyptus, Sloth reveals itself slowly, unfolding like a story told in whispers.
As the sixth release in The Sins series, following the likes of Gluttony, Lust, Avarice, Envy, and Vanity, Sloth continues Distilia’s mission to transcend categories, blending art, philosophy, and flavor. Each edition is a meditation on excess and restraint — and Sloth, fittingly, rewards only those who take the time to listen.
Read the full story behind Sloth and discover why this rare agricole is already being hailed as one of the most captivating chapters in The Sins saga – WhiskyClub.it
