I Movimenti - A Symphony in Bottles

24 juin 2026

Our new collaboration with renowned collector and connoisseur Pietro Caputo - I Movimenti is a series of rare single-cask spirits inspired by some of the most beloved works of classical music. It is a project that explores a simple but fascinating question:

Can a spirit evoke the same emotions as a piece of music?

We believe it can.

Music Translated into Spirit

The name I Movimenti - "The Movements" - reflects the structure of the collection itself.

Just as a symphony unfolds through distinct movements, each carrying its own mood, tempo, and emotional character, every bottling in this series represents a different musical masterpiece and translates its essence into liquid form.

Some compositions are powerful and dramatic. Others are contemplative, elegant, or profoundly emotional. The spirits selected for I Movimenti seek to mirror those qualities through aroma, texture, maturity, and complexity.

The result is a collection where music and spirits speak the same language.

The Vision of Pietro Caputo

For many years, Pietro Caputo has been known among collectors for his remarkable passion for rare spirits and his dedication to classical music.

I Movimenti brings these two worlds together.

Each release is inspired by one of Pietro's favorite compositions and selected jointly by Pietro and Distilia. The process is not about matching tasting notes to instruments or creating literal interpretations. Instead, it is about identifying spirits that capture the emotional atmosphere of a particular piece of music.

The selection process values depth, authenticity, and character above all else.

Just as great compositions survive generations, great spirits reveal new dimensions with time.

Together, these four releases form a complete symphonic journey through different spirit categories, origins, and emotional landscapes.

Beyond Collecting

At its heart, I Movimenti is not simply a series about spirits. It is about emotion.

Great music has the power to stop time, to transport us, to remind us of moments we thought were forgotten. The finest spirits can do much the same. They invite contemplation, reward patience, and reveal their character gradually rather than all at once.

In a world increasingly focused on speed and novelty, I Movimenti celebrates something different: the pleasure of slowing down - the pleasure of listening - the pleasure of discovering complexity over time.

A New Chapter for Distilia

With I Movimenti, Distilia continues its pursuit of collections that connect exceptional spirits with meaningful stories.

The series joins a growing family of projects that explore the intersection of craftsmanship, culture, and imagination - proving once again that the finest bottles are never just about what is inside the glass.

They are about the ideas, emotions, and experiences they carry with them.
