Distilled in 2009, it was then aged for 10 years in a single bourbon barrel that imparted a range of lightly fruity, sweet notes, before being bottled at a cask strength of 61.9% in 2019.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe stunning label depicts the well-known Japanese ghost story of Okiku. The story revolves around a set of 10 plates, with one missing. Okiku, a servant maid, was blamed for the missing plate and died shortly after. She then returned to haunt the living, appearing each night and slowly counting to nine before letting out a huge, terrifying wail. Okiku was eventually exorcised by a family friend, who simply waited for her to count to nine and then said “Ten”.
