Pietro Caputo

Distilia's beloved friend - Pietro Caputo is one of Italy’s best-known rum collectors and enthusiasts, respected throughout the international rum community for his expertise and passion for rare sugarcane spirits. His fascination with rum began in 2006 after tasting a legendary Caroni 1982 single cask, which inspired him to build an exceptional collection and deepen his knowledge of the category.

Over the years, Pietro has become a familiar figure at major rum festivals and masterclasses, serving as a judge at the International Sugarcane Spirits Awards. Beyond rum, he is also a devoted lover of classical music, bringing the same curiosity and appreciation for complexity, harmony, and craftsmanship to both passions.

Distilled in 1994 at the legendary Enmore Distillery, one of the most revered names in Demerara rum history, this remarkable expression matured for 28 years before being bottled at its natural cask strength of 60.2% ABV. Drawn from a single cask (#57) and released in an edition of just 184 bottles, it represents a rare opportunity to experience a mature Enmore rum in its purest form.
