Finale – Domaine de Sancin 1984 | Echoes of a Lost Concerto

Inspired by the idea of an “Echoes of a Lost Concerto”, this exceptional Armagnac captures the character of a true Finale - conclusive, mature, and epic. After decades of maturation, it brings together depth, intensity, and a sense of resolution in a spirit designed to leave a lasting impression.

Distilled in 1984 at Domaine de Sancin in France's Bas-Armagnac region, this remarkable Armagnac matured for 41 years before being bottled in 2026. Aged in a dry cellar and drawn from a single cask (#21), it was distilled using a traditional Armagnac continuous column still and bottled by Distilia at its natural cask strength of 50.1% ABV.

The palate develops with the depth and momentum of a concluding movement. Spice and dark fruit gradually deepen into leather, vetiver, and chocolate, gathering force as the composition progresses. The result is mature, resonant, and enduring - a finale that does not simply conclude, but leaves an echo behind.

Bottled without additives and at full natural strength, Finale preserves the character of an Armagnac shaped by more than four decades of maturation. Selected by Pietro Caputo, it is part of I Movimenti, a series where exceptional spirits become interpretations of music, emotion, and time.

Released in a limited edition of just 258 bottles, Finale is a fitting expression of maturity and closure - an Armagnac that feels less like the end of a journey than the final note of a concerto that continues to resonate.

About the Domaine

Domaine de Sancin is located in the Bas-Armagnac region of France, one of the historic terroirs of Armagnac production. This expression was distilled in 1984 using a continuous Armagnac column still and matured for 41 years in a dry cellar before being drawn from single cask #21.

Selected by Pietro Caputo and released by Distilia, Finale forms part of I Movimenti, a collection connecting mature spirits with the language and emotional architecture of music. Here, the long maturation and mature character of a 1984 Armagnac find their counterpart in the concluding force of a musical Finale.
