Glenfiddich 1972 Vintage Reserve

A remarkable 31-year-old Glenfiddich, distilled in October 1972 and bottled more than three decades later as a Distillery Bottling. This single cask expression comes from cask #16037 and was released in just 270 bottles, making it a particularly scarce vintage Glenfiddich.

Distilled on 3 October 1972, the whisky spent 31 years maturing before being bottled on 21 April 2004 at 48.9% ABV. As a single-cask release, it represents a specific moment in Glenfiddich's history, offering collectors an opportunity to own a whisky from a distillation era now many decades in the past.

The combination of an early-1970s vintage, long maturation, limited production, and original distillery bottling makes this an appealing piece for collectors of historic Glenfiddich releases.

About the Distillery

Founded in 1887 by William Grant, Glenfiddich is one of Scotland's most recognisable single malt distilleries and remains closely associated with the Grant family's long-standing tradition of whisky making. Its whiskies have become a defining name of Speyside and are produced at the historic Dufftown distillery.

This 1972 single cask captures a much earlier chapter in Glenfiddich's history, with more than three decades of maturation separating its distillation from its 2004 release.
