About the Distillery

Hanyu Distillery was established in Saitama, Japan, and produced whisky until its closure in 2000. Although its production history was relatively short, Hanyu has achieved legendary status among Japanese whisky collectors.

The remaining stocks became the basis for numerous celebrated bottlings, helping establish Hanyu as one of Japan's most collectible closed distilleries. Today, original Hanyu releases are prized as important pieces of Japanese whisky history.
