Karuizawa 1975/2007 Single Cask #4124 – Distillery Exclusive
The Karuizawa 1975 Distillery Exclusive is an exceptionally rare official bottling released exclusively through the distillery itself, making it one of the most desirable expressions from Japan's legendary closed whisky producer. Produced in very limited numbers, Distillery Exclusive releases were never widely distributed, adding an extra layer of rarity and provenance for collectors.
Distilled in 1975 and matured for 31 years, this remarkable single malt was bottled in 2007 from Single Cask #4124 at its natural cask strength of 63.0% ABV. As with Karuizawa's finest releases, the whisky was bottled without dilution, preserving the full character developed during more than three decades of maturation.
Released only a few years after the closure of the distillery, this bottling belongs to an increasingly scarce generation of official Karuizawa whiskies that were drawn directly from the remaining cask inventory. Expressions from this period have become cornerstones of the Japanese whisky collecting world, prized for both their rarity and historical significance.
Today, the Distillery Exclusive series represents one of the purest expressions of Karuizawa's legacy. Bottlings such as Cask #4124 are seldom seen on the secondary market and remain highly sought after by collectors looking to own an authentic piece of Japanese whisky history.

About the Distillery
Situated at the foot of Mount Asama, Karuizawa Distillery became one of Japan's most revered whisky producers before closing in 2000. Famous for its richly sherried single malts and uncompromising production standards, the distillery left behind a finite stock of casks that have since become some of the most collectible whiskies in the world.
Official Distillery Exclusive bottlings occupy a special place within Karuizawa's portfolio, representing releases intended for a select audience and preserving the authentic character of the distillery's final remaining casks.
