Distilled in 1980 at Karuizawa Distillery, the whisky was matured in a Sherry Cask before being bottled in 2015. Released at a powerful 61.6% ABV, it was bottled at its natural strength.

Part of The Golden Samurai series, the expression reflects the meeting of Japanese craftsmanship and the enduring symbolism of the samurai. About the Distillery
