About the Distillery

Located at the foot of Mount Asama, Karuizawa Distillery was one of Japan's smallest and most distinctive whisky producers. Operating between 1955 and 2000, it became renowned for producing rich, full-bodied single malts that were traditionally matured in high-quality sherry casks.

Following its closure, Karuizawa evolved into one of the most collectible names in whisky.
