Complete Karuizawa Wave Collection - Black, Red & Blue
The Karuizawa Wave Collection brings together three exceptionally scarce single-cask releases created for the Asian market: Black Wave, Red Wave, and Blue Wave. Representing two different vintages and three individual Sherry casks, the complete collection offers a rare opportunity to acquire all three expressions together.
The collection comprises Karuizawa 1981 Single Sherry Cask #4659 - Black Wave, Karuizawa 1981 Single Sherry Cask #7502 - Red Wave, and Karuizawa 1984 Single Sherry Cask #3657 - Blue Wave. Each was released as a limited single-cask bottling, with production restricted to just 171 bottles for Black Wave, 105 bottles for Red Wave, and 288 bottles for Blue Wave.
Released between 2012 and 2014, these bottlings are particularly scarce today. Their limited production was originally intended for the Asian market, while the combination of specific vintages, individual Sherry casks, and highly restricted editions makes the complete Wave Collection an especially distinctive piece of Karuizawa history.
All three bottles are preserved in excellent condition and come with their original boxes. The presentation itself also reflects the individual character of the releases: the Red Wave was originally presented in its special labelled box, while the Black Wave and Blue Wave were supplied in standard Karuizawa boxes.
For collectors, the significance lies not only in the individual bottles, but in the completeness of the set. Bringing together all three Wave editions in their original presentation creates a rare opportunity to own a coherent trio of limited Karuizawa releases from the final era of the distillery's remaining stocks.

About the Distillery
Karuizawa Distillery was one of Japan's most celebrated whisky producers, known for its highly regarded single malts and particularly its long-matured Sherry cask whiskies. The distillery ceased production in 2000, making its remaining stocks finite and increasingly sought after by collectors.
Today, Karuizawa bottlings from individual casks and historic vintages are among the most collectible Japanese whiskies. Limited releases such as the Wave Collection represent a distinct part of that history, combining rare liquid with original bottling and presentation details.
