Kavalan 2009 56,9% cask#W090220009 Solist was distilled in February 2009 and bottled in July 2013. The Solist Vinho collection features cask-strength whiskies matured in American oak wine casks. Kavalan Solist 2009 56,9% debuting in 2009.

Kavalan, Taiwan's first whisky distillery was founded by T.T. Lee of King Car Group in 2005, inspired by his passion for Scotch whisky. Located in northeast Taiwan, the distillery benefits from a unique climate, pure water from Snowy Mountains, and ocean breezes. Designed by Dr. Jim Swan and equipped with Scottish copper stills, Kavalan quickly gained acclaim. Its first bottling occurred in 2008, and the distillery has since garnered numerous awards.
