Caroni Paradise

Caroni Paradise series include five bottles. Two Caroni Paradise unveiled in La Maison du Whisky‘s catalog, comprises two cask strength rums from 1996 and 1998. Three Caroni Paradise bottles appeared on the market much later.

Discovered by Luca Gargano in 2004 after Caroni distillery‘s closure, these rums, dating back to 1974-2000, were stored in Trinidad until 2019. Caroni specialists selected barrels in France, honoring cognac tradition, storing them in glass demijohns named paradis.

The Caroni Paradise series, named after this tradition, showcases artworks by Trinidadian artist Che Lovelace, reflecting the lush landscapes of Trinidad and Tobago.

Caroni Paradise 1994 aged for 14 years in Trinidad and Tobago, then transferred to Demerara Distillers in Guyana in 2008. This Heavy Trinidad version further matured in Cognac demijohns from 2019 onwards.
