In store now, the new three bottles from The Golden Age of PiracyCollection! The next three bottles of rum are not only rare for rum collectors but also feature different depictions of famous pirates on each bottle. These include: Bartholomew Roberts, Edward ‘Ned’ Low, and captain Benjamin Hornigold.
Bartholomew Roberts achieved great success ruling the seas of both the Americas and the West African coast from 1719 to 1722, much like Elizabeth I dominating the seas in the late 16th and early 17th centuries.
This is why he’s known as The Golden Age of Piracy pirate, often credited with pioneering the Pirate Code and the early version of the skull and crossbones flag, alongside pirate Henry Morgan.
Captain Benjamin Hornigold, born in the mid-17th century, was known for commanding the heavily armed ship Ranger, primarily operating in the West Indies. He was also an ally and mentor to Edward Teach, famously known as Blackbeard. It’s worth mentioning that Hornigold eventually accepted a royal pardon and, thanks to the former pirate Woodes Rogers, ultimately pursued his former allies.
Edward ‘Ned’ Low, born into poverty, started his life as a gambler and pickpocket before becoming one of the most brutal pirates of his era after his wife’s death.Low and his crew terrorized vessels off the coats of New England, the Azores and the Caribbean.
