Noh masks, meticulously hand-carved from wood, feature strikingly bulging eyes and large mouths. These masks serve as a transformative element, representing a range of characters, from ghosts and demons to goblins, old men, females, and males. Designed with a clever mechanism, most masks allow actors to alter their character’s facial expressions simply by tilting their heads, providing the audience with varying perspectives of the mask.

 
The Japanese Hanyu distillery is no longer operational, but thanks to various bottlers, we can still enjoy the whisky it produced to this day. This particular Hanyu whisky was distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2009 after 21 years of aging.
