Located in Miyota, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, Karuizawa distillery was a prominent Japanese whisky distillery. Karuizawa 1971 41yo 63,7% Cask #1842 NOH is a bottling that was originally exclusive to the German market through Prineus GmbH Germany.
Karuizawa NOH Cask #1842 belongs to the Noh Whisky series. The name ‘Noh’ is rooted in one of Japan’s oldest performing arts, dating back to the 14th century. The label features the figure from the Noh group ‘Kamiasobi.’ The deep, intense dark color of this whisky is the result of over 40 years of aging in a Bourbon barrel, resembling the richness often associated with sherry-aged malts. A true masterpiece.
Only 82 bottles were bottled, what makes it the rarest of the most desirable NOH in the collection.
